How the project came into existence
In 2009, a group of health professionals, administrators and community organizers from the Outaouais region gathered to find solutions to an important issue in the area: the unmet needs of people at the end of life. La Maison des Collines was the fruit of this meeting.
The organizing group took on the mission of building and operating a six-bed palliative care home for residents of the Gatineau Hills area.
