Call for Nominations for our Board of Directors (2023)

La Maison des Collines is currently looking for candidates interested in serving on its Board of Directors.
In an effort to continually reflect the diversity and vibrancy of our community, the Board is seeking community-minded leaders, particularly with experience in either finance, governance, human resources, communications and media, legal, public affairs and philanthropy. Previous experience serving on a Board of Directors is an asset.
The Board of Directors is composed of a maximum of nine (9) directors with a three-year renewable term. In 2023, due to early departures and the end of terms, the positions to be filled will vary from one to three years with the possibility of renewal.
Applications must be accompanied by a CV and a letter explaining the reasons why he/she wishes to why he/she wishes to serve on the Board of Directors and the contributions he/she wishes to contributions he/she wishes to make to support La Maison des Collines, its staff, volunteers and those it serves in the community.
Candidates for the Board of Directors must:
- Act as an ambassador for Hill House.
- Be active in the community.
- Have a collaborative and unifying spirit.
- Be willing to commit to and administer the day-to-day affairs of Hill House, including overseeing its financial health, strategic direction and supervising the Executive Director in the conduct of the organization’s business.
- Be prepared to attend Board meetings (approximately 6 per year in virtual or face-to-face mode) and other committee or ad hoc committee meetings as required.
- Participate in promoting the mission of the organization in the community.

Applications will be reviewed by the Board of Directors and those selected will be contacted for an interview.
