Call for Nominations for our Board of Directors

La Maison des Collines, a nonprofit palliative care home providing compassionate and dignified palliative care to the residents of the Des Collines and greater Outaouais region, is seeking candidates interested in serving on its Board of directors in a volunteer capacity.
In an effort to continually reflect the diversity and vibrancy of our community, the Board is seeking community-minded leaders, particularly with experience in either finance, governance, health care, legal affairs, public affairs and fundraising. Previous experience on a board of directors is an asset.
The Board is composed of a maximum of 9 Directors with terms of typically three-years renewable once. In 2020, due to early departures and end of terms, the different positions to be filled vary between one and three years with options for renewal.
Applications must include a CV together with a letter of interest articulating the reasons for wanting to serve on the Board and ways in which candidates feel they can support La Maison des Collines, its staff, volunteers and those we serve in the community.
Board candidates should:
- Be a strong champion for La Maison des Collines, and act as an ambassador
- Be active in the communities we serve
- Be a strong collaborator
- Be prepared to engage and focus on La Maison des Colline’s needs
- Be prepared to attend regularly scheduled Board meetings (1 per month) and other committee or ad hoc committee meetings as required
- Support and attend events and other fundraising activities hosted by and in support of La Maison des Collines
