VOLUNTEER AND ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR
Position Summary
Volunteer Coordination
Under the responsibility of the Executive Director, the incumbent of the position organizes, coordinates and develops volunteer services. He/she is responsible for the well-being, mobilization and development of MDC volunteers. He/she is responsible for recruiting, welcoming, orienting, integrating and training the volunteers needed to carry out the MDC’s mission. He/she supports and advises other team members in their interactions with their respective volunteer teams.
Administrative Coordination
Reporting to the Executive Director, the incumbent will provide administrative support and overall coordination for the Executive Director. He/she proactively manages correspondence (e.g. directing information to the right source, writing correspondence, forwarding emails to the right people for action, etc.). He/she coordinates data entry activities (e.g. donations via ProDon).
Requirements
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in community animation, human resources, administration or any other specialty deemed relevant;
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar positions;
- Experience in project management, human resources management, administrative support;
- Knowledgeable about palliative care and the nonprofit sector would be an asset.
Qualifications required: ability to mobilize unpaid staff; leadership and ability to develop excellent interpersonal skills; sound judgment; organizational skills and management of priorities; ability to solve problems and work under pressure; work hour flexibility; team player, compassionate and respectful of others; ability to communicate and express oneself in public; bilingualism (oral and written communication skills in both official languages); strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, e-mail; ability to use social media.
Terms and Conditions
- Part-time position, over 4 days.
- Salary according to salary policy and experience.
